The first Indonesian youth congress was held in Batavia,	Kongres Pemuda Indonesia pertama yang diadakan di Batavia,	The translation is using transposition method. ‘was held’ is translated into ‘yang diadakan’ by adding the word ‘yang’

The translation is using reduction technique and adaptation technique. ‘capital of the then’ was translated into ‘ibukota’. It should be ‘ibukota pada masa itu’ And ‘Dutch East Indies’ was translated into ‘Hindia Belanda’. There is reduction in the word ‘East’, also Indonesian people are used to say Hindia-Belanda. So, there is an adaptation in culture.
but produced no formal decisions	Kongres ini tidak menghasilkan keputusan resmi	The translation is using transposition technique. ‘produced no formal decision’ was translated into ‘tidak menghasilkan keputusan resmi’. There is change in grammatical pattern.
but did promote the idea of a united Indonesia.	tetapi hanya mempromosikan ide negara kesatuan Republik Indonesia.	The translation is using literal technique and adaptation. The translation of ‘promote the idea’ into ‘mempromosikan ide’is a literal technique. The translation of ‘a united Indonesia’ into ‘Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia’ is using adaptation technique. Indonesian people are usually say ‘Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia’. So, there is a cultural adaptation in translating the text.
In October 1928,	Dua tahun kemudian tepatnya pada bulan Oktober 1928,.	The translation is using description technique. ‘in October 1928’ was translated into ‘dua tahun kemudian tepatnya pada bulan Oktober 1928’ which means, year 1928 is describe as two years ago (‘dua tahun kemudian’)
the second Indonesian youth congress was held at three different locations.	diadakanlah kongres pemuda Indonesia kedua yang dilaksanakan di tiga lokasi yang berbeda.	The translation is using transposition technique. The translation of ‘the second’ into ‘yang kedua’ is using transposition which there is a change in grammatical pattern of the word ‘yang’. Also in translating ‘was held’ into ‘yang dilaksanakan’. And the translator added the word ‘diadakanlah’. In the beginning of the sentence.
In the first session,	Pada sesi pertama,	The translation is using literal translation. The word ‘in the first session’ was translated into ‘pada sesi pertama’ which means there is no change in translating the text.
the hope was expressed that the congress would inspire the feeling of unity.	terungkaplah harapan bahwa kongres itu sebaiknya menginspirasi rasa persatuan.	The translation is using transposition and modulation technique. ‘the hope was expresses’ was translated into ‘terungkaplah harapan’ shows that there is changes in grammatical pattern. The word ‘would inspire’ was translated into ‘sebaiknya menginspirasi’ that showing modulation method. The word ‘would’ that means ‘akan’ was changed into ‘sebaiknya’.
The second session saw discussions about educational issues. .	Pada sesi kedua diadakan diskusi tentang isu-isu pendidikan,	The translation is usin litral and modulation translation. ‘the second session’ was translated into ‘pada sesi kedua’. That is showing there is no change in translating the text. In the next text, we can see the word ‘saw’ was translated into ‘diadakan’ that is change in meaning. The word ‘saw’ means ‘melihat’, but in the text it was translated into ‘diadakan’
In the third and final session, held at Jalan Kramat Raya No, 126, on October 28 participants heard the future Indonesian national anthem Indonesia Raya by Wage Rudolf Supratman.	sedangkan pada sesi ketiga dan sebagai sesi terakhir, yang diadakan di Jalan Kramat Raya No, 126, pada tanggal 28 Oktober, semua peserta mendengarkan lagu kebangsaan Indonesia “Indonesia Raya”, lagu kebangsaan masa depan Indonesia pada saat, yang diciptakan oleh Wage Rudolf Supratman.	The translation is using transposition technique. In the text ‘in the third and final session is translated into ‘sedangkan pada sesi ketiga dan sebagai sesi trakhir’ shows the change of grammatical pattern. The use of word ‘sedangkan’ and ‘sebagai’ show the change of pattern. The translator is also using the word ‘yang diciptakan oleh’.
The congress closed with a reading of the youth pledge.	Kongres ditutup dengan pembacaan Sumpah Pemuda.	The translation is using adaptation technique. The ‘youth pledge’ was translated into ‘Sumpah Pemuda’.

Youth Pledge	Sumpah Pemuda	The translation is using adaptation technique. The word ‘youth pledge’ was translated into ‘Sumpah Pemuda’. For Indonesian people, at that time, they called the pledge as ‘Sumpah Pemuda’
Firstly	Pertama	The translation is using literal translation. There was no change in translating the text. The word ‘fistly’ means ‘pertama’.
We the sons and daughters of Indonesia, acknowledge one motherland, Indonesia.	Kami poetera dan poeteri Indonesia, mengakoe bertoempah darah jang satoe, tanah air Indonesia.	The translation is using transposition technique. The words ‘sons’ and ‘daughters’ are plural, but it was translated into ‘poetera’ and ‘poeteri’ which is singular.  The world ‘one motherland’ was translated into ‘bertumpah darah yang satu’ which shows discursive creation technique.
Secondly	Kedoea	The translation is using literal translation. There was no change in translating the text. The word ‘second’ means ‘kedua’. But, the translation is also using adaptation in the spelling of ‘kedua’. At that time, the word ‘kedua’ is spelled as ‘kedoea’.
We the sons and daughters of Indonesia, acknowledge one nation, the nation of Indonesia.	Kami poetera dan poeteri Indonesia, mengakoe berbangsa jang satoe, bangsa Indonesia.	The translation is using transposition technique. The words ‘sons’ and ‘daughters’ are plural, but it was translated into ‘poetera’ and ‘poeteri’ which is singular.
Thirdly	Ketiga	The translation is using literal translation. There was no change in translating the text. The word ‘thirdly’ means ‘ketiga’.
We the sons and daughters of Indonesia, uphold the language of unity, Indonesian.	Kami poetera dan poeteri Indonesia, mendjoendjoeng bahasa persatoean, bahasa Indonesia.	The translation is using transposition technique. The words ‘sons’ and ‘daughters’ are plural, but it was translated into ‘poetera’ and ‘poeteri’ which is singular.  The world ‘Indonesian’ was translated into ‘bahsa Indonesia’ which shows adaptation technique.
